I am defined by my randomness.. and insanity
posted on November 6th, 2008 (08:21 AM) in The Self-Destruct Button, Chronicles of a Lost Girl in the MetroToday I rode all three trains. LRT 1 from U.N. to Doroteo Jose, walked the bridgeway to LRT 2. In LRT 2, I rode from Recto to Katipunan. Then, LRT 2 again from Katipunan to Cubao. Stayed a few minutes in Gateway, then went to Ayala station through MRT.
Around the metro FTW!
LRT 2 was the prettiest of all 3. LRT 1 was defintely the skankiest.
Legs ache from all the walking.
I am not only bad with directions, you shouldn't ask me about distances either. My mind forgets how far things actually are. Everything seems near. Walked from Katipunan station to Starbucks near Cantina, oh boy, it was not near at all. I remember I used to do that before. Unless they made things farther now. erm.. ok moving on.
For strange reason, I like checking those stores which sells things you don't need. You know what I'm talking about. Stores selling alarm clocks, small tin cans, little boxes, cheap stickers. I just bought myself a couple of those cheap stickers. Can't seem to resist swirlies and heavenly bodies. I was tempted to buy the tin cans, but seriously, what do i do with those?
Short fuse night this is turning out to be. Sometimes I can't explain myself. I get annoyed with the smallest detail. Things other people doesn't seem to notice, but I do. And it irks me more having to explain myself, so I'd rather sulk and be quiet. Yeah, most of the time I don't make sense.
Maybe this is just the product of tiredness + PMS. What an all around excuse this PMS thing. Can I be excused from murder if I use PMS as defense?

Enter Hairspray Manila.
Remember the movie with the same title? There's a musical. Promises to be just as fun.
Story goes:
HAIRSPRAY is about Tracy who wins a spot on the local TV dance program The Corny Collins Show. The big girl with big hair and big dreams becomes a teen celebrity overnight. Soon Tracy finds herself pitted against the show’s reigning princess for the title Miss Teenage Hairspray 1962. Based on the John Waters film, Hairspray is the winner of eight Tony awards including Best Musical. It was recently made into a hit film starring John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer and Queen Latifah.
Last play I saw was Avenue Q, and that was months and months ago. Should be fun to check this out!

New cam yey!
posted on November 15th, 2008 (10:49 PM) in Candy Girl, Sell Out Pixieesterday, I finally bought my cam! So it wasn't the one I was actually lusting for, that one costs about 30k, can't afford one. So instead I bought this:
Sony W110
Thought about buying one in Greenhills or Hidalgo where it's supposedly cheaper, but since I plan to cc and 0% is preferred, I opted to buy one from a real store (yeah, cos the ones in gh and hidalgo are make-believe, lulz). Also, I want the waranty.
I know I wanted a cybershot, and I know it has to be in black, but the actual model I want, I'm still not sure yet. I initially thought of getting a W120 or W130, but comparing the specs to the W110, there's reall not much difference. W110 and W120 basically has the same everything except for the steady shot feature, which I've been told isn't really a big deal. So for a 2k difference I chose the lesser model. Also the fact that W110 seems to have longer battery life.
*btw, I posted the worng price, you hafta' subtract 2k for each. bleh!
Here are my first few shots!
cam shot still pretty blurry, got lazy to upload new one. but puppy looks pretty, yes?
first pic of me trying to have kissy face shot with puppy, obviously still no good with knowing where to point; second is puppy making pa-cutesy face cos he wants to go upsatirs; third is cos i like feet shot eventhough I have fugly feet. heh.

Made Nissa more girly by adding flowers. See? See? Isn't he pretty? I just really like the stickers. lulz. They are actually for nails, but i think they are sticky enough to last in the cam.
At first, I actually thought this should be a boy toy. All my stuff are girls! And him being all black and shiny is just screaming boy right?

Unfortunately, I got this case for him.
Isn't it just screaming gay pink??? So I decided, he should just be gay then. So yeah, I have a gay cam named Nissa.

One fun thing I discovered about Nissa is the smile shutter. So I had a hard time at first trying to figure it out. It wouldn't work the first 5 times I tried it! I just needed to change the setting to something lower lang pala so it would work much easier. So here's how it goes:
While in the smile setting, click shutter once. Then just hold it to someone's face and wait for her to smile. When they do, it automatically snaps a picture.
Nissa needs that much smile wattage before it would click.
How awful it would be if Nissa wouldn't snap cos your smile isn't good enough?

Have yet to try the others.
Long overdue: the Elation chocolate buffet experience
posted on November 21st, 2008 (02:46 AM) in Candy Girl, Small World, Big Girl, Sell Out PixieA week ago I attended this thing called Elation chocolate and shooters buffet in Quezon city.

It was prom night all over again, what with the pink and white balloons and underage kids galore (ok maybe not underage, maybe hopefully they're in college na). So yeah, it was prom night with chocolates and alcohol, so it's still my kind of party. There were three kinds of fondues: dark chocolate, white chocolate and milk chocolate. I loved the dark the most cos I like 'em bitter. heh. The other two were a little too sweet for my taste. Yes I know, they are chocolates. Also, 32 signature shots, which we did not finish at all.
Hi, I'm Cinderella, you are?
I wish I could tell you which ones I like; unfortunately, I just kept drinking them up as they go whizzing past, so no. They weren't alcoholic-tasting at all, which was great. Some tasted like cough syrup, which was not great.
Overall, I loved it, the shooters more than the chocolates. But hey, who doesn't like chocolates? Fine, maybe you; but no, not me.
Thanks Marco for the pics. I stole them. ![]()

That is where I'm going to be this friday.
It's a Fully Booked Bloggers Event in Bonifacio High Street on November 28. They're giving away free books for the first 100 bloggers who reserved a slot here.
I've always loved books, and this is definitely one of those events that I can't miss.
See yah!

I know alot of people are into the Starbuck's planner thing (me included), but I do hope they also fill up their CBTL cards. It's just so nice of them to offer to help out. Fill up the card with 12 stickers, and then choose which non-government and charity organizations to support. Read full story here.
cigarette-girl.com, I ownz it
posted on November 24th, 2008 (10:45 AM) in Suicide Notes and Butterfly KissessI know this is stupid and irrational and really what do I need it for, but I bought cigarette-girl.com. Yep, I now have it for 2 years. Why did I do it? No idea really. So maybe when I, uh, move, I still keep the name, ionno. Of course right now it directs to here. So, honestly, I have no idea what I did that for except that tabulas suddenly offered own domain thingy, and I thought it maybe seems fun to do, and I have this paypal money in the innernet from the paid reviews thingies so might as well use abstract money for abstract net thing too. Whew! That was long sentence.
So there.
If someone has a bright idea what I should do with this, share.
This would be today's blog entry had I not received the good news this afternoon
posted on November 26th, 2008 (09:26 AM) in Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kissess, Sell Out PixieBecause I had a really sucky, pointless day, I share my (mis)fortune to everyone out there reading my blog. I give you 12 movie spoilers to ruin your day (night, week, whatever)
And no, I am not talking about movies like Snape killed Dumbledore, or that Jacob is really destined for Bella's daughter Renesmee, or even that Darth Vader is Luke's father. Nope, not those. Guess which movies these are from:
what drives you?
posted on November 27th, 2008 (09:53 AM) in Bobbing for Apples
So I’m leaving pretty soon, and company says I need to learn how to drive. Obviously, I’d need a car to drive as well. Now, while I absolutely adore those 2-door car things, the most practical car I think I should get is an SUV. No, not because it’s so when I hit something (like maybe another car, but most likely some post at the side of the round), it would be less likely for me to get smashed. Nope, nothing like that, although that in itself is good enough reason for me. It’s really because SUVs are better with all types of road in different types of weather. And having to go through all 4 season, I think I should really start learning how to handle those big things.
Looking through list of cheap SUVS (meaning $15k or less), the nicest thing I saw was the 2008 Scion xD. This suvs site was helpful enough to include a review of the car. So apparently, pretty car I like has its downside (duh!): sluggish and with questionable safety features. I don’t really get what sluggish in that sense means though. Now if it’s going to be buy anything you want I’d be getting a BMW X5-series. They are gorgeous!
I am such a sell out. Yeah, paid.
Book love day on Fully Book Bloggers Event
posted on November 28th, 2008 (10:23 AM) in Candy Girl, Sell Out PixieToday I went to the Fully Booked Bloggers Event. One of those events that I seriously had the most fun (well, there was that food tour which was also just as good).
Was on the table with these poeple:

with Ria, Marco, and Jonel. Not included were Carl, Ada, and anoher girl whose name I forgot. opps!

cos some biatch was bitchy. lulz
Basically we got a field trip around the store in High Street, sat through a film showing about Fully Booked (who knew they have a film showing place right?).

this is the inside of my dream house: a floor to ceiling shelves filled with books

kiddie books with tour guide! (just like your everyday field trips)
Two words I can't forget from the short film: oral pleasures. That was how they described the listening stations, and yeah, I have a durty mind. pbfft!
Food was from Hizon's. Loved it! Especially the desserts, except for the mangoes with cream, most tasted like fake mangoes (a.k.a. mango-flavored gulaman. then again, most likely they are gulaman.).

some of the foodies

my fave!
Best part of the night was the free book give-aways! We got two books free (I got an extra one c/o Marco. Thank you!) Ria, Jonel, and Az won in the trivia contest (lucky lucky!), so they got one extra free book and a cute USB.

here's my book loot!
Then there was this Bloggers Book Club. I wasn't paying much attention to what the speaker was saying, but it went something like you write a review of a book, if they like your review, they'll post it on their site for a week, then you get an FB php 1,000 GC. This I think they'll start on January. There's also a Twilight trivia raffle contest. You check their site for the trivia question, more stuff you answer, more entries for raffle for you. If you win, you get a Twilight movie guide. Uh-huh. Yeah, I'd love to own that (sarcasm right here. sorry still can't stand it.).

four new books to go through (Survivor I bought from the Palma kiosk)
*was going to take more pictures, unfortunately, battery was empty na. sad really.
**will post links to other pics when people start uploading 'em.
